News from IC at the Sydney Writers' Festival!

Isobelle Carmody appeared at the Sydney Writers’ Festival on the 24th of May. I decided to take the plunge, and went up to Sydney for the weekend. The talk (with Isobelle Carmody and Garth Nix) was great, and due to being one of a lucky few given a fantastic opportunity to talk to Isobelle Carmody (thanks to Min from Obernet), I also have some wonderful news to share with you all!

• The Sending is expected to be out in MARCH NEXT YEAR!
• There will be a big release event in Melbourne, which will almost certainly be a Masked Moonfair!
• This theme was chosen because there will be a Masked Ball in The Sending! (Discuss it here!)
• Isobelle has also been working on a short story for a compilation, which will be about a different character from the Obernewtyn chronicles.
• The new Talent that Isobelle mentioned on Obernet is NOT teleportation. So Brydda doesn’t teleport after all!
• After finishing The Sending, Isobelle will be working on The Firecat’s Dream (the final Gateway book) and then Darkbane (the final Legendsong book).
