I am so freaking behind with the times. I was wondering why we hadn't heard anything about it yet.
Oh well, August will be here before we know it.

Well they seem to be releasing the electronic version in July and the hardcopy in October. Now I went and bought myself last year a Kindle (electronic book reader) so this is how I know about the electronic release. It seems the current dates of electronic release are July 27 (in the US) and the hardcopy is October 26. Thats for both The Sending and The Red Queen. It appears that Australia's hardcopy (paperback I believe) will be released around the same date but I can't testify to that at this stage.

more news - went over to amazon to take another look and have found the electronic editions have been removed from the website - including all the other obernewtyn books - which I was intending to get. But I figure this is a good thing - since when should electronic release preceed hardcopy release?
And this does mean that October 26 is looking like a more sure release date - especially when I checked with my local A&R (angus and robertson) who also have that release date. If there is more agreement - it looks better and better for us to know they will be released on that date!
woohoo!
The bookstore sites are often wrong, so I wouldn't trust them to be right. Basically we're not going to know a date for sure until the book has been completely edited and is definitely finished, and then Penguin will be able to schedule it to be printed, and will be able to give us a final publishing date. I'm sure once an actual date is known for sure, we'll be told. Until then, there's really no point bothering Penguin - they can only tell us what their current prediction is, which really doesn't tell us anything.ISOBELLECARMODYROCKS wrote:I am now checking Borders websites and etc and they all have May 2011. Surely this is not correct. I don't think that sounds very realistic. I wish we could get a confirmation of a date that wouldn't alter every month or so.
I know how you feel, so thanks for your support. *hugs* (I've acquired a lot of patience through waiting for these books for over ten years, or I'm sure I'd be with you in really wanting to know! As it is, I'm just hoping it'll be out early next year at the latest!)ISOBELLECARMODYROCKS wrote:I suppose you're right Zanthlay. *sighs*
